Referee Guide
Referees of the Rhodes Global Journal of Social Sciences make a significant contribution to the publication quality of the journal. Here is the guide for academics who will serve as referees in our journal:
1. Participation in the Evaluation Process:
- When referees consider responding positively to evaluation invitations sent to them, they must respond to this invitation in a timely manner.
2. Independence or Impartiality:
- Referees must display an independent and impartial attitude in the articles they evaluate. In case of any conflict of interest, this should be stated clearly.
3. Privacy Policy:
- Referees must keep the article and author information they evaluate confidential. Information obtained during article evaluation should be shared only with the editor and authors.
4. Evaluation in accordance with scientific standards:
- Referees must evaluate the conformity of the articles they evaluate to scientific standards. Must make contributions to improve the article with constructive criticism and suggestions.
5. Timely Performance of Transactions:
- Referees should take care to complete the article evaluation process assigned to them on time. In case of problems, the editor should be informed.
6. Language and Expression Control:
- Referees should pay attention to the quality of language and expression in the articles they evaluate and evaluate the comprehensibility of the article.
7. Conflict of Interest Declaration:
- Referees must clearly declare any conflict of interest in the article they are reviewing. If they have a close relationship with the authors of the article, they should convey this to the editor.
8. Feedback and Communication:
- Referees should provide constructive feedback to article authors after the evaluation process and communicate with additional comments if necessary.
